Myths about wearing contact lenses

There are some misbelieves in wearing contact lenses. Read them and have an opinion of them yourself.

Wearing contact lenses is painful

This isn’t true, contact lenses are designed to be comfortable, and you don’t even feel them after a certain period of time. Sometimes it is possible for the wearer to have a new sensation, but the eyes will soon get used to it.

Not being able to put on the lenses

It is true that it takes a little while until you get accustomed with putting on and taking them off, but it will need only a little practice. Your optician will surely teach you how to do that before prescribing the lenses.

Possibility to get stuck on your eye

Be assured, that contact lenses are designed not to stick to the eyes. In some cases you may experience difficulties taking them off, but this only occurs when they’ve been worn for too long and became dry. When this happens, a few eye drops will solve the problem immediately.

Often fall out and even get lost

This is not impossible, but it’s very unlikely to happen. If you’ve put on your lenses correctly, then there is almost no chance for them to fall out.

They cause infections

If you do what your optician and manufacturer of the contact lenses as they are, then you won’t be able to get any eye diseases or infections. For further assurance, go to your optician and have a contact lens examination at least once every year.

Not being able to find contact lenses that are powerful enough

This is also not true, today manufacturers are producing a wide variety of contact lens types, and surely you will find the suitable one.

They can only be warren by adults

Many lenses are warren by children and teenagers. There is no reason why not to wear them if you aren’t an adult.

Lenses cost a fortune

Contact lenses came down in price in the last few years. Every prescription requires different lenses and all will have different prices. One of the cheapest ways to buy lens is to order them online.

So there are many myths that aren’t true. Contact lenses are a good way to solve your eye disorders.

    I’ve tried and tried, but just cant manage them! , it just feels as though i have something stuck in my eye (which I suppose I have) Im thinking about going full hog and having the lazers in

    I’ve worn them for years and never had problems. Just remember one thing: ALWAYS wash your hands before touching them and you will be alright.

    i like that post when ever i wear lenses i got pain in my eyes and i always found difficulty to put lenses in my eyes lolz….. these are great points . i like it
